conversation between paramecium and human

p: I noticed you're watching paramecium videos on You-Tube.
h: Yeah? So what?
p: You're watching naked sex videos.
h: What?
p: The paramecia are naked. They're having sex.
h: I guess you could call it that. I'm watching for educational purposes.
p: Did you know they're being tortured in captivity?
h: These samples come from pond water.
p: When you see them, they're strapped to a microscope table, subjected to bright lights, and stained repeatedly. The prison guards (a.k.a. scientists) dump in vials of didinium – a known predator which swallows paramecium lengthwise.
h: Hang on a second. I understand this would not be cool if we were talking humans. These are one celled animals. Give me a break.
p: It's fine for the strong to exploit the weak. As long as they don't mess with their own species.
h: Do I detect a hint of PMS?
p: If that means: paramecium must suffer, then yes.
h: You have no brain. How could you possibly experience pain or emotion?
p: You have a brain. Why can't you feel love and compassion?
h: This is going nowhere. Hey check it out.
p: Check what out?
h: This video where they move a microscope all over the place hunting a zippy little naked paramecium.
p: Sweet.
